Comfort Bikes

"Comfort Bikes" refer to a new generation of "City Bikes" that are used primarily as "affordable transportation".  Typical Comfort Bikes resemble mountain bikes in wheel size, brake and gear equipment, but have a much more upright riding position because of a shorter top tube and taller handlebar stems. The saddles are wider with springs and/or suspension seat posts. Comfort bikes have smooth wide tires for riding on paved roads or paths; and much lower bottom brackets for getting off and on the bike easier.
